9 Deuce
As you can guess, this film is about the very first Purge in US history. It gives you some insight on how things started. This is about how the government funded the first Purge. They offered money to people to release their anger and record it using these special contact lenses. This started as a […]
I liked the original The Strangers, but always preferred ILS (Them). I was surprised that it took this long for a sequel. In hindsight, I wish this never got made. A family of four, Cindy (Christina Hendricks), Mike, Kinsey, and Luke, go on a vacation or trip before the family is sending Kinsey to boarding school. […]
I honestly dreaded watching this film. When a horror movie does really good at the box office and gets hype, I tend to end up disliking it and setting everybody straight. Think about films like Paranormal Activity, Don’t Breathe, and Get Out. All had hype, all were mediocre at best. Hey, Halloween is killing it […]
Here’s a fun zombie film. Shaun of the Dead gets all of the love, but Zombieland is a worthy challenger to the crown of best zombie comedy. Also, Return of the Living Dead has to be mentioned too. By now, you probably know the story. You have 4 main characters: Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), Tallahassee (Woody […]
Stoic is not your traditional horror movie. Based on the story, while it is more drama than anything, the things that happen are more brutal than some horror films, so I felt that it belonged. I’m going to just spoil this whole film, and if you want to avoid it, scroll down to the rating. […]
I used to really not be a huge fan of this film. I loved to make fun of Will Smith’s acting range, which was basically either Will Smith or Muhammed Ali, and that was it. Here, he is still very much Will Smith, but he had some nice dimensions to his character. So the story […]
I found this film on a list of best zombie movies, and it sounded good. I didn’t anticipate finding it anywhere, but as I scrolled through Screambox, there it was. It was only 63 minutes, which was great for me. So I gave it a shot. We learn that Michael is in Berlin to return […]
You clicked on this. You know what you’re getting yourself into. You’re in the right place. The story is that a soldier gets infected chemo-virus and ends up at this strip club. We meet all the girls, and the club owner, Ian, who was played magnificently by the always great Robert Englund. The main stripper, Kat, […]
I found this one on NetFlix and it surprised me a bit. The plot is that people pay money to go to this resort where you can go kill zombies. They have it set up so the zombies can’t attack you or get to you. It’s all safe with tons of protocols. As you can imagine, […]
This is a zombie drama. It does have horror elements as well as drama. The story is well done and even better performed. This is a bit of a slow burn at first. We meet all of these kids that are in wheelchairs and they are tethered to the chairs and they are treated like […]
