9 Deuce
Splatter is a 29-minute short film on NetFlix. On IMDB they treat it like it was a tv series, but this felt like a standalone short. After some research, I found this on Wikipedia and it helps explain the final product a bit better. Not so much in the form of spoilers, but production and […]
Maybe the world wasn’t begging for a horror film starring Dolph Lundgren, but perhaps it should have been. I found this little treat on NetFlix. If you don’t take things too seriously, I’m talking to you overly serious, pretentious film critic, there’s a lot of fun to be had here. Along with Dolph, there is […]
I have Screambox and Shudder, and most years I don’t make great use out of these services, so I searched for something different and came across this little gem. This is a simple story of Ollie and Blair who are professional burglars, and early on, Ollie gets caught, so Blair bails him out. She had […]
So far, I loved the first Cabin Fever but really disliked the second one. I didn’t know what to expect with this one. The first 10-15 minutes is not the high point. I just encourage you to pay attention, make it through, and it gets much better. We have 2 main stories that inevitably converge. […]
I wish they hadn’t called this what they did. The connection to Connecticut is practically non-existent. I don’t even know of any connection to Connecticut. Still, this isn’t bad. We have the Wyrick family who moved to a nice home that used to be owned by a stationmaster of the Underground Railroad. What that means […]
I remember going to the theater to see this particular film. I’m pretty sure I went with Kristin, and that is important because although she was a shitty girlfriend, almost every movie I saw with her in the theater was good, surprisingly. I know that there is controversy about the whole “based on a true story” […]
I thought that this was going to be a really good film. I like Steven Soderbergh. I like a few members of the cast. The story intrigued me most. Was she going to be crazy or was she going to be right? That’s the question in your mind as you start this film. Here’s the […]
Look, I totally get why they made a sequel. The first one was really fun, had some originality to it. Something that most people enjoyed, so of course, you make a sequel. From what I have read, Eli Roth and Ti West both made scripts and neither one was used. I have read that Ti […]
I knew better, I did, but I pushed on an watched another shaky cam film, and you can imagine how it went. Here’s the most basic of synopsis that I feel like providing. Scarlett is some person who specializes in alchemy or has majored in it or whatever. She is after The Philosopher’s Stone. This […]
I didn’t know what to expect. I saw Frank Grillo was in it, and I was sold. Shree Crooks is really the star here. She plays Stephanie and Frank plays her father while Anna Torv plays her mother. They are really the only characters that you get to know. You may know Shree from American […]
