9 Deuce
I have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is very bad. This is a film that takes place in space. Yes, the dreaded space entry. Maybe it won’t be so bad since we have been dealing with aliens and space ships all along, right? Oh, but it’s part 4. Here are […]
Okay, on IMDB I immediately see a kid and think, is that Leonardo DiCaprio. It is. This is actually his very first film. They brought back Charlie, Ug, and Sal. Frances Bay, best known as Happy Gilmore’s grandmother is in this. My expectations are super low on this one and any remaining ones. You are […]
It appears that they brought back a handful of the characters from the first one. We get Brad, Charlie, Sal, Harv (different actor), and one of the Bounty Hunters named Ug. He’s the one who portrayed Johnny Steele. How do you bring back Brad but not the rest of the family? I have questions. We […]
This may come as a surprise to you, but I don’t think I have ever seen a Critters film before. Looking at the cast for the original, it’s loaded. You have Dee Wallace as Helen Brown, M. Emmet Walsh as Harv, Billy Zane as Steve Elliott Lin Shaye as Sally, and Scott Crimes (voice of […]
I’m not a religious man, but if I was, I’d be praying to whatever deity to help me get through what I am about to see. I have absolutely no confidence in this film, despite Cary Elwes being in it. Imogen Poots is the lead and she was in Green Room, 28 Weeks Later, and […]
HBO notified me that they were removing this film soon, so now is as good a time as any to check it out. I don’t know much about this. I know that James Wan made it, and I have a lot of faith in that man’s work. I hope for fewer attempts at jump scares, […]
Many years ago, when I started doing these reviews, I always wanted to get to this film. But I put it off and put it off. I think it has been 8 years. I did all of the Nightmare of Elm Street films, but then I decided that I wanted to do all of the […]
What do you do if after many drafts and scripts for the proposed Freddy vs Jason film fall through or don’t meet your standards? You say fuck it, let’s make yet another horror movie with space marines and a beloved icon. That worked so well with Hellraiser and Leprechaun, right? Let’s have a laugh. What […]
After Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan underperformed so badly, Paramount was like, fuck this noise and sold the character of Jason to New Line Cinema, better known as the house that Freddy built. Keep in mind, I said character, not franchise. This is why Friday the 13th isn’t included in any of […]
It’s officially October 2021 and I sitting here with a bowl of Count Chocula and almond milk. I never quite finished the Friday the 13th franchise last year, regrettably. So I want to do that right now. This is the final F13 film of the 80’s. Some people will say the franchise was never the […]
