9 Deuce
I can tell you that it is nice that there isn’t a lot of things to complain about or make fun of from behind the scenes. There are some fun things that I did learn. This is where Paramount Pictures wanted to work with New Line Cinema to put together a Freddy Vs Jason film. […]
I hate having to start these blogs by explaining shit. Unfortunately, part 5 messed so much stuff up that when they made this, they had to do even more tinker. I’m just going to copy and paste a paragraph from Wikipedia because they say it better than I can and faster and you can read […]
I know that I said that that part 4 had an interesting history. This one is a bit interesting as well. I’m just simply copying what I found at Wikipedia (right here)because this is good shit. “Friday the 13th: A New Beginning was cast under a fake title, Repetition, and many of the actors in the film […]
This film has a small cast mainly featuring the father and son duo of Brian Cox and Emile Hirsch. Then there is Jane Doe, played by the beautiful Olwen Catherine Kelly. Everybody else has relatively small parts. This is a very simple premise. They do so much with it though. It’s currently on NetFlix, as […]
I think this film is pretty solid, but I am not crazy about overused jump scares. You can see where I am going with this. The whole gimmick is a story and a series of jump scares. The story is good. The jump scares are good, but they are overused. We start off at Wells […]
This was a film that Chris had me watch over the summer. To be honest, I have no idea why he chose it for me. It stars Calista Flockhart who you may remember as Ally McBeal. I will always remember her counterpart in the porno called Ally McFeal. Yes, that is a real thing. Look […]
This film has quite an interesting history. From what I can gather, it sounds like they only wanted to do 3 films. But Part 3 didn’t have the right sound of closure. The producer was sick of horror, specifically slashers, so he pushed for this to be the end of it, despite them making a […]
I feel like this is one of the Friday the 13th films that I don’t usually watch. Hopefully, my memory is incorrect and I have a great time. I know that this was originally in 3D. Some horror films are made so much worse due to this terrible gimmick. Really, they start right off with […]
While the original Friday the 13th started it all, this is the first film in which Jason is the killer, and obviously he is synonymous with the franchise. Adrienne King (Alice) and Betsy Palmer (Mrs. Voorhees) return in this film in varying capacities, given that Mrs. Voorhees was decapitated. Get ready for a very clumsy […]
Before I go down the Friday the 13th rabbit hole, I just want to say that I am pissed off at the lawsuit with Victor Miller and Sean S. Cunningham. I see both sides of this. I think that Victor should have been given a small percentage. But it should be kept small. He wasn’t […]
