9 Deuce
You know how some people think that Ghost Hunter type shows are just silly and beyond fake? I’m one of those people. Well here we Jackson and Angela, who are brother and sister, and they do this fraudulently do this and make good money off of it. The plot is simple. Jackson is an idiot […]
I have been curious about this film for at least 2 years. I finally decided to give it a shot. I feared that it would try too hard to be like The Strangers. I was in for a delightful surprise. The story is simple, at first. Anna takes care of her sick and dying brother, […]
SyFy came out with basically this same film 7 months prior. This has a good budget, good producers…..oh shit, the producer of Get Out. We have a case of uh oh. It can’t be too bad, right? This film is very similar in premise. The special effects may look a bit better than the 2017 […]
I was looking for the 2018 film with the same name, but I found this on NetFlix and though, eh what the hell. I am glad that I did this so I could have 2 films to compare a bit. This apparently premiered on SyFy last year, and it has Heather Langenkamp, better known as Nancy […]
Apparently, this film was mentioned in one of the Scream films, I think part 2. Honestly, I just wanted something quick to watch before my podcast and this checked all the boxes of something I could really enjoy. Sometimes you get these things right, and other times you fail. Surprisingly, I didn’t fail. This is […]
I admit I was not a fan of Mohawk at first. I have now seen in three times. There are pros and cons to this one. It’s turning into a guilty pleasure though. It has Luke Harper in it dammit! Of course, I had to try to like it. The story is somewhere around the […]
A cheesy early 90’s movie starring Edward Furlong. What’s not to like about that? This is a movie that I remember the trailers for way back, but I just never got around to it. The film is a somewhat simple premise. Michael(Furlong) lives in this big ass house, alone. I don’t recall what his dad’s […]
This won’t be a long review. This film has been highly regarded in the horror community. It’s an Australian found footage/ documentary type film, but a little different. The premise is simple. It’s set up as a news feature of sorts, detailing the family’s grief over the death of 16-year-old Alice Palmer. We meet her […]
Here we go, a modern anthology film that is weird as hell but works quite nicely in its entirety. It also has my man Larry Fessenden in it as the DJ on the radio. It’s not a star-studded affair, but it is creepy as hell at points. There are 5 segments in this film. It is […]
Let’s talk about a movie that I was really hyped for, and felt destined to love. Spoiler alert, I didn’t love it. I saw this heavily advertised for me on NetFlix. I read some reviews. When people mention The Thing or Hellraiser, you have my attention. This felt like an open love letter to those […]
