I found this gem on Amazon Prime. This film…..wow. It is a horror musical comedy. No, it’s not Rocky Horror Picture Show. I don’t know how this film got funded, how the makers managed to get so many topless chicks, and who wrote the songs and choreographed the dance scenes. All I know is that this reminded me so much of something that we wouldn’t have had the budget to do on The Malarkey Show back in the day.

The story is basic. There is a nudist colony and the Christians are extremely pissed off and want that place shut down. The nudists argue back, in court, of course. I need to say, every single aspect of this film is over the top in the most extreme way. The leader of the nudist is this older lady wearing this fake nude bodysuit with her tits down to her knees, and she is batshit crazy, but funny at times. Her name is Mrs. Druple. Judge Rhinehole rules in favor of the Christians and the nudists are pissed. They make the suicide punch and vow some revenge at some point. There are some pretty ladies here, surprisingly. So they die.

We now have the Christians getting like teenagers and young adults to go to this Christian camp I guess. Whoever made this must have really hated their upbringing, I would speculate. The hate for Christian philosophies is strong but in a funny manner. You can’t take it seriously, ever. You have a few hot chicks, one is named Fanny Wype. Yup. Then you have the curly haired guy, Art, and his buddy, Gus, who always wears a catcher’s mask. Mr. Mucky and Mr. Stokes are hillbilly, redneck, possibly mentally disabled gentlemen who are bored easily, like to see each other’s scrotums and lots of bathroom humor. Lou is the Bible thumper of the group, but one of the funniest because all he does is “quote” the Bible, but when he says where the line is from, it’s got all of these funny jokes. It’s actually quite clever. Then the most offensive character possibry, nope, not a typo, that’s how they made the Mexican Japanese character named Juan Tu speak. You either find it funny or offensive. It is what it is.

There are plenty of songs and they all are very tongue in cheek and lots of funny lines if you actually pay attention. I wish I knew the name of the black guy who is doing funny shit in the song scenes. There is another black guy who is like a park ranger or something, and he “raps” so that happened and I was a better person for having seen it.

Eventually, the dead nudists rise from the grave and kill people off in typical fashion. Nothing groundbreaking, but Juan Tu’s death is absolutely hilarious. I won’t ruin the ending, but it was oddly unexpected considering what I had just seen.

I had a great time with this film, and I am the target audience. This isn’t for everybody. I strongly encourage you to give it a chance though if you can handle lewd humor. There are so many things to love here. I feel that I need to buy a DVD copy of this.

Rating: 6.3 – This is guilty pleasure personified. Most people will give it a 2-4 range because they have no sense of humor. It’s okay. I love this movie!
