9 Deuce
They start right off with footage from the very end of the original, with what’s her tits getting dragged away. We have some heavily armed guys, like military or SWAT, something like that. This takes place directly after the events of part 1. This doctor guy is telling the military guy that it’s OK to […]
Here is the original, before we had Quarantine, we had [Rec]. Well, I am not going to tell you anything mind-blowing. If you have seen Quarantine, you have basically seen this. I’ll take the version that requires no reading. Sorry that I am not more descriptive, but the reality is, Quarantine copied this, and they […]
Here we go, I have never seen this, so I am excited. Good to finally see a Bela Lugosi film. Well, I have an Italian language copy. OK, got my brand new DVD, fingers crossed that it’s in English. The guy with the mustache is fabulous. He warns of Nosferatu. Some young strapping gent is […]
This is from the same year as Dracula, and it stars the other big-name horror icon from that era in Boris Karloff. I gotta keep in mind that Frankenstein is the doctor and not the monster because I’m like so many other dumbasses and refer to the monster as Frankenstein. Oh well. We get a […]
I know nothing about this other than there is a wolf and there is a man. We have Lon Chaney Jr. and Bela Lugosi in this one. Ugh, I hate the term lycan. Oh well. We meet Larry and his dad, Sir John. Sir John has won a Nobel prize and Larry is only visiting […]
Hey, Boris Karloff is in it, so the Mummy should be large and in charge and looking for chickies. Well, this is The Scroll of Thoth. Basically, it’s about rising from the grave. OK, sold. Field Expedition Season 1921 British Museum (9 Deuce) Sir Joseph is one of the guys working on this. Then there’s […]
This is the last of my Universal Monster movie marathon, but I have heard that I may have saved the best for last. I really loved Frankenstein, so fingers crossed that this is good too. We start off with Percy Bysshe Shelly, Lord Byron, and Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley talking. Lord Byron is a treat. Mary […]
This is a story about the real-life story regarding Gertrude Baniszewski. I was never familiar with this until I came across Jack Ketchum’s The Girl Next Door (guess what film is next). SO I read about this horrible incident, and I found that another film had come out called An American Crime, and it stars […]
This movie legitimately bothered me the first time I saw it, and it’s still unsettling. I suppose it may vary for people. I would speculate kids who may have been brought up in an abusive situation, for them, this may hit home a lot harder than others. This starts off with David helping save a […]
Hey, a film from James Wan (Saw and The Conjuring) starring Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, and Lin Shaye. In theory, this sounds great. In practice……..I bring you, Insidious. That fucker Oren Pelli is involved in this. No wonder I feel the way I do about this. We have the Lambert family: Josh, Renai, and their […]
